Sony Bravia new LCD TV range including 70 inch XBR3
Sony Corp. has launched a new range of Bravia LCD TVs. The new Sony Bravia line of television includes 15 new models from the X, W and V series - starting at 40-inch - plus three models of the small new J3000 series.

To round it up, they also presented their new Bravia Link, their technology to control all things Sony from one remote. Sony's top-end model will have a 70-inch screen. It is all set to become the largest flat television commercially available.

Sony’s new Bravia XBR is a massive 70 inches of pure LCD madness. With a super high def resolution of 1,920 pixels by 1080 pixels, not only is the XBR absolutely gigantic, but as high definition as you can get right now. The Bravia Engine Pro engine, which takes non-HD programs and converts them to a higher quality picture, will also be included. Not only Blu-Ray and HD-DVD systems but DVD players also will look just as fantastic.

With the XBR’s 178 degree viewing angle, reflections and darkness won’t ruin the LCD for large groups. There’s xvYCC color capability (Sony calls this “x.v.Color technology,”) which is supposed to the gamut of colors by 1.8x over the today’s color standards. The XBR3 also features 120 Hz refresh rate (aka “Motionflow”) with motion compensation, which should significantly reduce or eliminate motion blur and other unpleasant artifacts. The display panel is 10-bit 1080p native, and illuminated by LED backlighting.
The set also features a 178-degree viewing angle and Sony’s Digital Reality Creation v2.5 circuitry. Contrast ratio is rated at 7000 to 1, which is very good for an LCD (although Samsung is working on an LCD with a 50,000 to 1 contrast ratio). The Bravia range of flat-screen TVs will be embedded with advanced technology that eliminates fuzziness.
According to Sony, the retail prices of its soon-to-be-released Bravia line-up will range of $ 2,360 for the lowest 40-inch model to $35,000 for the top-end 70-inch flat-screen television.
Sony plans to sell 10 million Bravia LCD TVs from now until March 2008.

Yahoo is giving its e-mail users more ways to reach friends and online contacts from today by allowing them to to type text messages on a keyboard and send them directly to a cell phone. Initially, the text-messaging feature will be available to Yahoo Mail members in the United States, Canada, India and the Philippines.

The new e-mail-to-phone connection is one of the features the Internet media giant plans to add as it makes available to the more than 250 million Yahoo Mail users a new version of the world's most popular e-mail program in coming weeks. The new version of Yahoo Mail gives users three options for communicating with contacts - e-mail, online instant-messaging or text-messaging to mobile phone users. Users can switch between the three, depending on which is most convenient.
To text a friend, users simply enter a mobile phone number, type a text message in Yahoo Mail and hit send.

Yahoo plans to make its upgraded e-mail program the standard option for all new users of the free service. It will upgrade users worldwide over a six-week period. Existing users will be prompted to upgrade, although users of slower dial-up connections or those comfortable with Yahoo's "classic" e-mail can continue to use the older version.
Yahoo will remove the beta tag from the new Yahoo Mail version from today. All users will see an improvement in performance and speed with this "general availability" version of the new Yahoo Mail, as well as an expansion of the search refinement features. The new Yahoo Mail lets users drag and drop messages into folders, open multiple message windows, preview message content in a pane, and perform actions via keyboard shortcuts.

Google phone coming to India in two weeks in September
New rumors have started coming out of India that the Google phone (Gphone) could be launched within two weeks, in September.
What Google Phone may look like (Click to enlarge image)

What Google Phone may look like (Click to enlarge image)

It is reported that Google is in talks with Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Essar, respectively India’s first- and third-largest mobile telephony operators, and state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam to offer the new Gphone. Rumors of a Google phone have been doing the rounds for the past few months.
Sources close to the development said a simultaneous launch across the US and Europe is expected, and announcements would be sent to media firms in India and other parts of the world. US regulatory approval, from the Federal Communications Commission, which must certify any wireless device sold in the U.S, is expected soon, and is the only hurdle that Google is waiting to cross, they added. Google plans to invest $7-8 billion for its global telephony foray.
This is what the Google Phone could potentially look like, according to reports.
Google Phone specifications
The specifications proposed by Google include 3G and Wi-Fi capability, for high-speed web-browsing, download and other capabilities. And integrated GPS could also appear - perhaps adding a new location-specific search dimension to the new Google mobile browser's capability. Besides regular mobile phone multimedia functionality - such as cameras and video - are part of the Google reference specification.
Google has been showing off prototypes of its Google Phone to mobile network operators, as its plans to introduce a Google-branded handset accelerate. It is currently drafting specifications for devices that can best display Google's applications. Google is also designing new software for the gPhone, including a sophisticated new mobile browser.
Google has already been working with a number of mobile phone operators and handset manufacturers to introduce Google search and other applications into mobile devices and onto network portals. It could expand this further by allowing mobile makers to carry Google software without a licensing fee. Google is believed to be looking for multiple handset manufacturers to work with on a Google defined specification, possibly even creating their own handset designs based around the Google reference. LG is one handset manufacturer that Google has been working with to integrate Google software into handsets and could be a potential hardware partner.
Google, as usual, refused to comment on rumors and speculation. "We don't comment on market rumor or speculation. However, Google is committed to providing users with access to the world's information, and mobile becomes more important to those efforts every day. We're collaborating with partners worldwide to bring Google search and applications to mobile users everywhere. However, we have nothing to announce at this time."

5 years jail for Salman Khan
The Jodhpur court has rejected actor Salman Khan’s appeal in the black buck case. The actor will have to serve a 5 year sentence. An arrest warrant would be issued to Salman Khan by the lower court.

The actor was not present in court on Friday. Instead his sister Alvira Khan appeared on his behalf and petitioned the court to defer the hearing.
However, the court rejected both the plea for deferring the hearing as well as Salman's original appeal against his conviction, with the courts closed over the weekend. Salman was accused of poaching a chinkara on the outskirts of Jodhpur near Mathania on the night of September 27, 1998, while shooting for his film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
On Thursday, he was shooting in Hyderabad for Pokhiri, a remake of a Tamil hit, but on Friday he has not been seen.

If Salman has to appeal against Friday's order in the Rajasthan High Court, he has to surrender first. If he surrenders on Friday, he can move a bail application immediately, but he will have to spend Saturday and Sunday in jail as they are holidays.
Salman's lawyers have said they will file an appeal in the HC on Monday asking the court to give him three or four days to surrender. So on Monday, they will file an appeal asking that he be given time to surrender, then after four, five days, will file an appeal against the conviction. This is to enable him to stay out of jail for as long as possible. But there are holidays coming up on August 28 and 31, which means there could be more delays. If Salman doesn't surrender within a reasonable time period then non-bailable warrants will be put out against him.
Meanwhile, Mahipal Vishnoi, who led the campaign against Salman Khan, expressed joy at the verdict. There was also jubilation in the Bishnoi community in Rajasthan for whom the Chinkara is sacred.

Salman's jail term in the Black Buck poaching case could cost Bollywood big bucks. With the Jodhpur court cancelling his appeal against conviction by a lower court almost Rs 70-100 crores rising on the star could be stuck. His films which are complete or close to completion are Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya made at a whopping budget of Rs 35 crore and is due for a Diwali release. Then there is God Tussi Great Ho by Shabbo Arts which is almost complete. It has been made at Rs 15 crore and is due to be released next month. Several films have been announced with Salman like Boney Kapoor's untitled project on which 10 per cent work is complete. Tom and Jerry and Main Aur Mrs Khanna by Sohail Khan, Yuvraaj, Mera Bharat Mahaan by Samir Karnik. While his latest and first Hollywood venture Marigold is not doing too well either, the actor now has reasons to worry. But Bollywood is keeping its fingers crossed that his bail plea is heard soon.

Virtual Laser Keyboard Celluon CL850 3D
Virtual laser keyboards have been around for many years already and they aren't exactly very popular with PDA and smartphone users, but Celluon, a leading Korean manufacturer of portable input applications, plans to release its latest virtual laser keyboard, known as CL850.

Based on Celluon's sensor module, the CL850 makes use of its trademarked 3D electronic-perception technology to identify the location and movement of the typer's fingers and transmit the input recognized by the sensor to the user's device. The CL850 will incorporate Bluetooth and USB connectivity, allowing you to connect the device to desktop PCs or other mobile devices such as laptops, UMPCs, smartphones, PDAs, and PMPs.

A perfect heir to the Celluon Laserkey CL800BT (the company's original laser keyboard), the CL850 is fuelled by USB bus power, in-built lithium ion battery power, or DC input power. It is compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smart Phone edition; Palm OS, Blackberry, Symbian; and Windows 2000/XP or higher.

The CL850 also contains a built-in buzzer to provide keystroke sounds. The keyboard works like a charm on nonreflective, opaque flat surfaces and is visible in 1000-to-5000-lux ambient light.

The CL850 will support English, Spanish, German, French, and native Korean languages, retailing between $108 and $215 when it will become available by September this year.
Orkut friends kill Mumbai teenager Adnan Patrawala
A day after he was allegedly kidnapped by three youths who knew him for a Rs 2 crore ransom, Adnan Patrawala, 16, son of a businessman from Lokhandwala area in Andheri, was found murdered on Monday in neighbouring Navi Mumbai.

The police claims to have cracked the case with the arrests of three youths - Sujit Nayyar (27), Ayush Bhatt (18) and Hitesh Ambavat (19). Nayyer hailed from Malwani, while Bhatt and Ambavat were residents of Kandivali and Malad respectively. Nayyar worked in a BPO, Bhatt a Class XII pass-out and Ambavat a first year student.
The trio had met on Orkut. They soon befriended Adnan, who was from a wealthy family, on the same website. The four met for the first time at a pool parlour in Inorbit Mall, Malad, nearly six months ago. They soon became close friends, and Adnan doubted nothing when the three asked him to spend a night with them on Saturday.
The police said the youths had admitted that they killed Adnan. “They (the accused) got scared after they came to know through media reports on Sunday that the police were after them, so they killed the boy,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (western region) Archana Tyagi. The trio have been charged with murder and kidnapping. "The three hankered for expensive lifestyle. So, they decided to kidnap Adnan, who came from a rich family".
"After Adnan's kidnapping, we recorded statements of his friends and family members, but none could say anything about his whereabouts. The three had invited Adnan to spend the night with them. The victim drove to Malad to pick up his friends, and together they spent the night somewhere in the suburbs".
Adnan, had left his residence in suburban Andheri's Oshiwara area on Saturday night and did not return home. Before leaving, the class 12 student of CW College had told his parents that he was going out with some friends.
On Sunday morning, they made a call to Adnan's parents, demanding a ransom of Rs 2 crore. But on seeing Adnan's photo on TV, they panicked and decided to kill Adnan." They killed Adnan around 10.30 pm on Sunday and abandoned his body near Sanpada.
Clutching a hookah nozzle in one hand, Adnan Patrawala’s face stares back at you from his picture on social networking site Orkut. “Words can’t describe me but I’m always cool. What more?” Adnan had written of himself. Studying in Class XII at Children’s Welfare Centre in Yari Road, Adnan had two passions in life: fast cars and cricket.
On Monday night, as word of his death spread, his profile was viewed every second. At 11 pm, he had received 981 messages from people — most saying “Rest in Peace” or “May God Bless You”.

Security Flaw found in Yahoo! Messenger
Security researchers are warning of a security hole in Yahoo's Messenger that could allow attackers to run their own code on computers using the instant messaging program.

The buffer overrun vulnerability was discovered by a researcher in a file named "yauto.dll," which is an ActiveX component of Yahoo Messenger software versions up to 5.6.0.1347, according to a security alert released. Accepting webcam invites from unknown users on Yahoo! Messenger Webcam could allow hackers to gain remote access of your computer. The company was notified via e-mail about the hole one month ago, but did not respond.

Yahoo issued a statement saying that the company is working to verify the report and develop a patch for Messenger. "Yahoo takes security very seriously and employs rigorous and aggressive measures to help protect our users," the statement says.
Yahoo Messenger allows users to instantaneously communicate with each other over the Internet using text messages. It also lets users send files or links to Web pages. Instant messaging applications such as Yahoo Messenger, Microsoft's MSN Messenger, and America Online's AOL Instant Messenger are increasingly used at companies to let workers communicate with each other over corporate LANs.
Attackers could trigger a buffer overrun on machines running Yahoo Messenger by sending a long stream of data in the form of a Web page URL to a vulnerable function within yauto.dll, crashing the application or allowing the attacker to place his or her own malicious code on the machine. In buffer overflow attacks, hackers use flaws in a software program's underlying code to overwrite areas of the computer's memory, replacing legitimate computer instructions with bad data or other instructions.
To launch an attack, hackers could set up a Web page, then lure Yahoo Messenger users into visiting the site and clicking on a link that triggers the buffer overrun and runs the attack code.
Yahoo Messenger users running vulnerable versions of the program were advised to remove yauto.dll from their computer hard drive. Users should also consider modifying their Web browser configuration to prevent ActiveX controls and Active Scripting from running, except on approved Web sites.

Britney Spears lesbian affair pictures
After Britney Spears was photographed making out with her former personal assistant Shannon Funk during a topless romp in a swimming pool, a string of former nannies have come out saying that she begged them for sleazy lesbian romps.

There seems to be no respite for troubled pop star Britney Spears. Even as the singer continues to battle with her ex-husband for the custody of her children, reports have emerged regarding her lesbian escapades. First the singer was photographed indulging in a sexual romp with her former personal assistant Shannon Funk during a topless romp in a swimming pool.

Though Spears ordered her people to clear the hotel pool area to be left alone, a hotel source said: “Even though the pool was closed, some people still saw them and their jaws hit the floor. Britney seemed more into this girl than she has ever been into a guy.”

Spears’ friend was quoted as saying: “Britney did get raunchy with the guys, but that was nothing compared to what she did with Shannon. Even though the hunks were hot, Britney made a beeline to cavort with Shannon. She seemed insatiable.

“Shannon’s been a great pal to Britney through very tough times. It was inevitable they’d end up very close but no-one knew just how close.”

Friend also added that this was not the first time this has happened. They were caught cuddling and kissing in the street last month. Spears has most recently fired Shannon saying she was leading her astray.

As if this was not enough, Spears’ former nannies started speaking out about the Baby one more time singer’s drunkenly lust for women.

“She’ll strip down in front of staff. She’ll ask: ‘Do I look sexy? Do I look pretty?’ She’s extremely insecure” a former employee told reporters.

“She just cares about whether her nannies are young and fun and like to drink and party. She hires people to be her friends”.

One nanny goes as far to claim that Brit invited her to slip in between the sheets whilst her 22-month-old son Sean Preston was in the same bed.

She’d share stories about her married life with her staff and it would make them feel awkward, especially when she talked about sexual positions said one of Spears’ former employee.

Tata Air Car to be launched in 2008
The Rs 1-lakh car isn’t the only affordable technology that Tata Motors will introduce in 2008. India’s largest four-wheel automaker has plans to bring out cars fired by compressed air, the cheapest auto fuel in the world.
Related Link: Car that runs on air - More Pics

Tata Motors will start producing cars running on air fuel, sometime in 2008. These are expected to deliver the lowest running cost across all passenger car segments, and could be much lower than CNG, the cheapest on-road fuel (with a running cost of a rupee per kilometre) right now. The cost of a fuel refill would be about Rs 90, and each refill is expected to deliver a distance in the range of 150-200 km.

These cars are expected to be in the same price band as the current Indica range (approximately around Rs 3.50 lakh) and will probably mirror the European variant called MiniCAT, which runs on the same engine technology. These pollution free vehicles are expected to deliver a maximum speed of up to 220 km/hour and their debut may coincide with the launch of the Rs 1-lakh car, next year.

Related Link: Car that runs on air - More Pics
When contacted, Tata Motors spokesperson refused to comment on the possible launch of these air fuelled cars but said, “The engine and the technology is being further refined, and still requires a couple of years’ work. It is premature to comment on the exact timing of launch, pricing etc. The effort is to deploy innovations such that pricing makes them competitive alternatives in the market. The technology is exclusive to Tata Motors and will cover a range of applications — automotive, power generation etc.”

Sources in the automobile industry say Tata Motors is experimenting with the technology on its different models and mass production of the ‘Air Car’ could commence next year for the domestic market. These are expected to be the first air-powered vehicles in India.

Earlier this year, Tata Motors signed an agreement with MDI of France to source technology to develop engines powered by compressed air. The engines are gasoline, fuel gas, bio-diesel, liquid gas, ecological fuel, alcohol and ethanol blend compatible.
Sources add that Tata Motors could launch a limited number of these cars in India under a pilot project, which are already available in select markets in Europe and South Africa. Tata Motors is the sole licensee of the technology in India.

How does it work?
For decades, automotive engineers have been working with the idea of a car that would run on compressed air or use compressed air as an energy storage method.
90m3 of compressed air is stored in fibre tanks. The expansion of this air pushes the pistons and creates movement. The atmospheric temperature is used to re-heat the engine and increase the road coverage. The air conditioning system makes use of the expelled cold air. Due to the absence of combustion and the fact there is no pollution, the oil change is only necessary every 50,000 km (31,000 miles).
The engine uses a unique connecting rod design that allows the piston to stay at top dead center for 70 percent of the crankshaft rotation, allowing pressure to build. It's paired with a plastic-fiber high-pressure storage tank, similar to what's used with natural-gas vehicles, which keeps the air up to a pressure of more than 4000 psi and can be recharged at an air station in about three minutes. The range is supposedly better than 200 km (124 miles).
The arrangement has nearly no emissions at the tailpipe (though of course overall efficiency depends on the compressor used to fill (pressurize) the tank. The engine's lubrication oil, a liter of vegetable oil, needs to be changed once every 50,000 km (31,000 miles). And, the air expelled may actually be cleaner than the air taken in, as it is run through a carbon filter to remove larger contaminants that might be damaging.
The temperature of the clean air expelled by the exhaust pipe is between 0 - 15 degrees below zero, which makes it suitable for use by the internal air conditioning system with no need for gases or loss of power.
There are no keys – just an access card which can be read by the car from your pocket.

Shilpa Shetty next Bond Girl
Reports have confirmed that Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is currently in the running to sign up as the next Bond girl for the yet-untitled James Bond film, dubbed Bond 23. Shilpa is having secret talks with the top brass who are working on the next movie. She has a huge following in Bollywood, as well as a number of fans in the Western world – especially in Britain – so she will be great for box office sales.

Shetty began her career in 1993 and has appeared in over 50 films. In the last year alone, the award-winning actress has been at the center of not one, but two major scandals. The first was for her appearance on UK Celebrity Big Brother; when a housemate was accused of racist behavior after making offensive comments about Indians on the show. Shetty got the last laugh though, and won the show with 63% of the audience votes.

Shetty made the headlines in May when she and Richard Gere were speaking at an HIV/AIDS awareness event in New Delhi. When Gere playfully grabbed and kissed her, many saw this as an outrage to Indian culture. Members of Shetty's fan club took to the streets raising anti-Gere slogans, while protesters burned and kicked effigies of Gere and Shetty. Amid the flurry of legal complaints by hard-line Hindu groups, a judge issued an arrest warrant for the two stars for violating obscenity laws.

The filming of Bond 23 is likely to begin early in 2008, once production on Craig's second Bond movie - with the current working title of Bond 22, is completed.

Hotmail storage now 5 GB
Microsoft Corp. will soon let users of its Hotmail service store 5 gigabytes of photos and other e-mail messages, more than double the previous limit. This offering from the company doubles the existing capacity offered by Hotmail which happens to be one of the most widely used services in the world.

Of course, only a small number of Hotmail users will ever approach that threshold, a reality the software maker acknowledged in a blog post this week outlining the storage boost and other upgrades to the free, Web-based service.
Microsoft has also listened to its customers and has decided to reduce the dimension of the header in the user interface, providing users with more space for mail-previews. The company has also decided to increase the time a junk or deleted mail stays on their servers.
Other new features that are expected to be launched on Hotmail include better performance, increased mail retention, contacts de-duplication, mail forwarding for combined accounts, meeting requests and better spam filtering.
According to Microsoft, the new and updates Hotmail features will reach users gradually over the weeks to come.
Microsoft's new limit will leapfrog Google Inc.'s nearly 3 GB. Yahoo Inc. and Time Warner Inc.'s AOL e-mail services already include unlimited free storage.
The software maker also said that Hotmail will get faster in coming weeks thanks to performance improvements. E-mail users will also see a new "report phishing" button and a way to combine duplicate contacts in the address book.
When Hotmail users log in, they currently see a page filled with news headlines and photos from Microsoft's MSN sites — not their inbox. Soon, Microsoft will let users choose to go straight to their e-mail and skip the extra content.

Wallpapers Hot Sexy Babes - Rebecca Loos
Rebecca Loos is a Spanish glamour model who was personal assistant to English football player David Beckham. She is primarily known to the public because she allegedly conducted an affair with the married Beckham.

In 2004, Loos briefly presented Shownieuws on Dutch television together with former Eurovision Song Contest singer Gerard Joling who represented the Netherlands in 1988. Her appearance was short-lived, partly due to the strength of her English accent when speaking Dutch. Loos failed to attract the ratings producers had hoped for and was dropped from the show. She has since posed nude for a pictorial in the Dutch edition of Playboy, with further appearances in lad mags Nuts, Zoo and FHM and other magazines.

Alert: Nokia Battery BL-5C overheating problems - Product Advisory
Product Advisory: Nokia BL-5C battery
Dear Nokia Customer,
This is a product advisory for the Nokia-branded BL-5C battery manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006. This product advisory does not apply to any other Nokia battery.
Nokia has identified that in very rare cases the affected batteries could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge. Nokia is working closely with relevant local authorities to investigate this situation.
Nokia has several suppliers for BL-5C batteries that have collectively produced more than 300 million BL-5C batteries. This advisory applies only to the 46 million batteries manufactured by Matsushita between December 2005 and November 2006. According to Nokia's knowledge this issue does not affect any other use of the mobile device. Concerned consumers may want to monitor a mobile device while charging that contains a BL-5C battery subject to this product advisory.
While the occurence in the BL-5C batteries produced by Matsushita in the time-period specified is very rare, for consumers wishing to do so, Nokia and Matsushita offer to replace for free any BL-5C battery subject to this product advisory.

Reliance launches its Social Networking site BigAdda.com
Reliance ADAG has launched its social networking site BigAdda.com. BigAdda.com is targeting about 10 million registered users in the first year of its launch. The core target audience is 15-25 year olds. The company is looking to push its latest online product with a marketing spend of Rs 50 - 60 million for the first phase that will span three months.

It is estimated that by 2010 there will be 20 million Broadband subscribers, up from 1 million and 100 million Internet users, as compared to 40 million today. The number of Internet users has witnessed an upswing, and so has their need to socialize online and gain acceptance in the virtual world.
The site will primarily involve media sharing of videos, photos and blogs. However, the company is looking to expand its offerings with the addition of new applications like music and mobile sharing.

The company plans to introduce a Music vertical for uploading, streaming and sharing of user playlists. Web Instant Messenger (IM) and wireless interface would also be introduced shortly, which acknowledges the youth’s asynchronous messaging habits and need for connectivity.
At the launch event the panel of speakers too was celebs that are highly popular in their own respective fields amidst the Indian youth community. Present at the event were 5 youth icons to drive their communities online, namely popular glamour photographer Atul Kasbekar, music maestro Shankar Mahadevan, leading Indian female golfer Irnina Brar, top filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and Bollywood actress Diya Mirza.
The marketing campaign, based on the tagline "let's catch up," will be heavily driven by television and internet supported by radio, outdoor and multiplex activation. With an existing youth targeted brand Zapak, although bigadda.com will be eyeing the youth demographic, it will be very differently positioned from Zapak.com which has come to be associated with gaming and the recently added email service.

Nokia 7900 Prism, 7500 Prism mobile phones
Nokia added 2 new phones to its stylish collection aimed at fashion lovers. Both headsets have diamond-cut design, sharp angled lines, geometric patterns and graphic light-refracting colors - a new approach Nokia has used to differentiate the models from the soft curves and plush touch of Nokia 7280 or 7360.
Nokia 7900 Prism

Nokia 7900 Prism, a sleek, liquorice-black front phone with anodized aluminium backcover, has an Organic LED (OLED) main display that supports up to 16 million colors and displays light-focused screensaver graphics. It features a "living wallpaper", which subtly changes throughout the day according to time as well as battery and signal strength, so that each screen is unique.
The Nokia 7900 Prism offers a gallery choice of 49 illumination colors. Once selected, this color radiates from under the graphic key-mat as well as from the LED display. Lights are also emitted from the top of the phone to signal missed calls and messages.
Nokia 7900 Prism is dual band 3G compatible, but also boasts with quad band GSM capability. Besides a 2 megapixel camera, the Nokia 7900 Prism comes with 1GB of internal memory for pictures, video, contacts and more.
Nokia 7500 Prism

The Nokia 7500 Prism’s polished black exterior is merged with bright, interchangeable color accents. It has a 240x320 pixel display in 16 million colours, a 2 megapixel camera with flash, microSD memory expansion (up to 2GB with 512MB supplied as standard), Bluetooth, stereo wired headphones in the box and interchangeable "accent" colours.
The Nokia 7500 Prism is a more music oriented device. It has the ability to play music for nine hours and hold up to 1500 songs on the optional 2GB microSD card. It weighs 83 grams and talktime is 2.8 hours, with 10 days standby time.

Nokia is aiming the two devices at style-conscious consumers. Both the Nokia 7900 Prism and Nokia 7500 Prism will be available in Q3 of 2007 for EUR 400 (approx. Rs. 22,260) and EUR 210 (approx. Rs. 11,685) for the Nokia 7500 Prism, without taxes and subsidies.

Mother of the year
In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.
(To enlarge the images, click on them)

(To enlarge the images, click on them)

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment.

Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans" that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger.

Would they become cubs or pork chops?????????????

Google Phone
Some magazines have reported on Google's plans for entering the cellphone business. Google has research and development resources dedicated to mobile phone technology, but the question has always been: will Google strike out on its own, or will it embrace partners in its quest to tackle the mobile world? Will it make its own phone, or just a set of applications and recommendations?
Google is believed to have spent "hundreds of millions of dollars" on its mobile phone project. Google has multiple phone prototypes and envisions a day in which mobile phones will be ad-supported thanks to services such as those Google provides.
Google has "developed prototype handsets" that feature powerful versions of its applications, and it has approached several wireless operators in the U.S. and Europe in recent months, including AT&T, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless, to bring these devices to market. T-Mobile, appears to be farthest along in developing these plans.
The company is working on its own devices, but is also working on a set of technical specifications and applications to be shared by multiple mobile devices. Google will allow manufacturers to use their prototype designs or make their own. Google's chief interest, clearly, is getting its applications on phones. Mobile device versions of Google Maps, Google Talk, and even Gmail are already popular, and the company is working on a web browser as well.
At its Boston office, Google is "working on a sophisticated new Web browser for cell phones. Google has recommended that manufacturers build phones with a host of technology to support its apps - a camera, Wi-Fi, 3G networking, and GPS.
People who have seen Google's prototype devices say they aren't as revolutionary as the iPhone. One was likened to a slim Nokia Corp. phone with a keyboard that slides out. Another phone format presented by Google looked more like a Treo or a BlackBerry.

It's not clear which manufacturers might build Google wireless devices, though people familiar with the project say LG Electronics Co. of South Korea is one company that has held talks with Google. Google has already lined up a series of hardware component and software partners and signaled to carriers that it's open to various degrees of cooperation on their part. The Google brand has yet to appear on a significant piece of consumer hardware.

(Video) 320 kmph remote controlled car
Most full sized vehicles can't hit 200 mph (320kmph), let alone radio controlled cars. But Nic Case hopes his X2, currently in development, will do just that. Current holder of RC car speed record, Nic's goal is nevertheless an optimistic one.

Powered by a 29.6 Volt direct drive motor, the X2's theoretical top speed is 440 kmph, but that's without any drag generated by friction with the road or air. Special foam tires capable of withstanding the incredibly high RPMs keep the diminutive car in contact with the track, while a gyroscope manipulates rudders to automatically keep it in a straight line.
